Die Deutsche Schule Atlanta ist eine Schule, die samstagmorgens ein einzigartiges Programm anbietet: ab dem zweiten Lebensjahr (Schüler müssen am 1.9. zwei Jahre alt sein) bis 99 Jahre Deutschunterricht für Muttersprachler sowie Deutsch als Fremdsprache. 

An 30 Samstagen im Schuljahr jeweils von 9.30 bis 12.00 Uhr treffen sich Schüler und Lehrer in kleinen Klassenverbänden. Ziel hierbei ist es, u.a. eine typische deutschsprachige Umgebung zu schaffen, in der die Schüler ihre jeweiligen Sprachkenntnisse und ihr kulturelles Verständnis in einer freundlichen Atmosphäre entwickeln und vertiefen können.

Als gemeinnützige Organisation ist die Deutsche Schule auf Zuwendungen der Mitglieder und des privaten Sektors angewiesen. Hierzu dienen Fundraising- und Benefizveranstaltungen. Durch ein attraktives Schulgeld ermöglichen wir allen Interessenten die Teilnahme an unserer einzigartigen Schule.

INTRODUCTION

The German School of Atlanta is a Saturday morning school offering a unique educational experience: German is offered to native speakers and non-native speakers beginning at the age of two years through adults. Classes are being taught at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels in small classes.

Students meet for classes on 30 Saturdays during the school year. Each Saturday, classes begin at 9.30am and resume at noon. It is our goal to enhance and develop our students German language skills and cultural understanding in a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere.

As a non-profit organization, the GSA relies heavily on contributions from its members and from the private sector as well as on special fundraising activities. Every effort is made to keep tuition costs at a reasonable level in order to afford access to all interested students.

 

The German School:

• was founded in 1983 by Parents

• is a non-profit organization

• is actively supported by the Board of Directors, as well as

• the Honorary Board, students and parents

• Every year, between 250 and 300 students in up to 30 classes attend the school
