Join us (German American Cultural Foundation)  on October 27th for the first Octoberfest Run! Come foster German-American relations and experience German culture while competing in a 5k road race/walk and/or by participating in a 1k Dirndl & Lederhosen Fun Run. The road race will start at 3pm at Piedmont Park. The fun run will begin after the race has finished around 4pm. After both events, Park Tavern will be the site of a cultural celebration for runners and non-runners alike. Post-run outfit contests will be at the Park Tavern with awards. There will be beer, bratwurst, and music! The music is a joint German American Band featuring Norbert Fuhrmannn (see Proceeds are for a good cause and will go to the German-American Cultural Foundation for educational programs.
