Dear Parents and Students:
This must have been the fastest school year ever….We only have a couple of Saturday’s left and once again a busy school year is coming to an end. We hope that you and your children had as much fun as we did. Before you and your families take a well deserved break from Lernvergnügen we would like for you to take a moment to read this letter and to take care of all registration related matters.
Many of you have asked us: “Where is the registration letter”? “I hope I did not miss it”. Of course we love this kind of enthusiasm and are grateful that you entrust us with your children. When you register your child(ren) or yourself, you are registering for the entire school year (30 Saturdays). Tuition is based on those 30 Saturdays.
The Board has reviewed the tuition and has voted to increase the tuition by approx. 3% for the next school year. Our new base tuition for one student is $ 565.00 (plus administration/registration fee). As in previous years we have adjusted all other tuitions in increments of $ 50.00 or $ 100.00 with the exception of our Sprachdiplom classes. The tuition for each of the Sprachdiplom level has been increased by 3%.
Our annual tuition still translates into an hourly rate of about $ 7.53. Our tuition is very low in comparison to similar offerings in the Atlanta area. Our quality is top notch and we are proud to be one of the leading and largest German Schools in the U.S.
We rely on pro bono contributions by many among the leadership of the school, on your donation and on the support from outside sponsors. Last but not least: the school is built on the enthusiasm and dedication of our teachers and volunteers.
Many of you have taken advantage of paying by credit card. Once again you will be able to pay with a credit card during this enrollment phase and throughout the school year. Please see us in the GSA office for payment or more information. Two payment options are available: One single payment, due at the time of regis-tration including the registration/administration fee of $ 50.00, or two payments, one payment at 50 % of the annual tuition plus registration/administration fee due on registration, the remaining 50 % due by August 31, 2010.

A one-time non refundable registration/administration fee of $ 50.00 for each student is not included in above prices and needs to be paid upon enrollment.
Books required will be sold at cost.
Please note: $ 200.00 of the tuition will be non refundable if you withdraw your registration between July 15 and August 31, 2011. On and after September 1, 2011 no refunds will be given. Students will be denied class participation starting in January 2012, if not all accounts with the school are paid in full by November 30, 2011.
We were filled to capacity this year and may have to decline registration should the growth of the school continue at the present rate, not the least because of the lack of class rooms at our disposal. Therefore, please register as early as possible.

Registration is not complete until a payment has been made. Please include a check made out to German School Atlanta when mailing the registration form or choose the credit card payment option during the remainder of the school year and during Spielstrasse!
Please note: In order to be considered a member both, the registration form and the payment of at least 50 % of the tuition plus registration/administration fee, must be submitted. A student cannot be placed in a class, unless both of these items have been received by the registrar.
